I'm a flat, 9.5 narrow, which can be hard to fit. After ordering the Ortega (good fit for me, plus extra room on top of the foot, which is normal for my flat feet) and the Clay (sadly, way too wide & a bit too short), these are true to size if you wear a thin sock. They might also stretch a bit. If you like very thick socks or wear insoles, size up a 1/2 size. I've got a very narrow foot and find these to be exactly my toebox width, which means that others may need time to stretch them out a bit. I can wiggle my toes, which is great - not pressing down on my toenails at all. The ankles are stretchy, no friction, and they're easy to get on & off with the loops in the back. The top of the shoe is closer to my actual foot, which is great since they're lower than a boot, so you need the tension to stay on. The Ortega is slightly wider since it slopes from the higher boot shape.
